64orbit helps parents register their children for chess tournaments and helps tournament organizers manage entries. This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect, why, who can see it, and how you can have it corrected or deleted.

Who we are

64orbit is run by Nisha Shinde, Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India. For any question about your information, or to exercise your rights below, email nishapmore@gmail.com.

What we collect

Your account: your name and email address from Google sign-in, your phone number, and whether you are a parent/player or an organizer.
Your children's profiles: name, date of birth, gender, state and district, AICF ID, State Association ID, and, if you add them, FIDE ID, rating, photo, guardian's name, address, email and phone number.
Organizers: the organization's name, registration number, location, contact email and phone, UPI ID and bank account name.
Registrations: which tournament, age group and fee category you chose, the amount due, the UPI reference number (UTR) and payment screenshot you submit, and whether the organizer confirmed or rejected it (with their reason).
Tournament brochures that organizers upload.

Payments happen in your own UPI app. 64orbit never sees your bank details, card numbers or UPI PIN.

Children's information

Children do not have their own accounts. A parent or guardian creates and manages each child's profile. By adding a child, you confirm that you are their parent or legal guardian and that you agree to us using their information as described here, only for tournament registration.

How we use it

To create your profile once, so you can register for any tournament without re-entering details.
To register your child and show the tournament's organizer the entry and your payment reference.
To verify organizers before their tournaments can go live.
To keep the service secure and prevent misuse.

We do not show advertising, and we never sell your information.

Who can see it

Your family: only you can see your account and your children's profiles.
The organizer of a tournament you register for (and the team members they add) can see that child's details and your contact details, so they can run the event, confirm your payment and prepare the entry list. Organizers cannot see children who have not registered for their tournaments.
Parents who register for an organizer's tournament see that organizer's UPI ID and account name, so they can pay the entry fee.
Everyone: published tournaments, and the name, state, district and verification status of the organizations running them.
Service providers who run 64orbit for us: Supabase (database, file storage and sign-in; data is stored in Mumbai, India), Vercel (website hosting) and Google (sign-in). They process information only to provide their service.

How we protect it

All traffic uses HTTPS. Database rules make sure each family can see only its own information and each organizer only the entries for their own tournaments.

Cookies

We use cookies only to keep you signed in. Your light or dark theme choice is saved in your browser. We do not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active.
You can remove a child's profile at any time in the app. This also removes that child's registrations.
To delete your whole account, email nishapmore@gmail.com. We will do it within 30 days.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or withdraw your consent. Email nishapmore@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. For significant changes, we will also let you know in the app.
